We have developed the new VARTA ‘ProtyDron’ trainer system for training servicemembers to counter FPV drones in a safe virtual environment. The system makes it possible to train a shooter and a drone operator at the same time, practicing scenarios as close as possible to real conditions.
How it works
In the VR environment, the shooter detects, tracks and engages aerial targets, while the operator controls the FPV drone and performs maneuvers. The instructor monitors the training process in real time and receives detailed result analytics after the session.
System capabilities
The system provides settings for weapon and ammunition type, magazine capacity, shot spread, shooting hints, and physical reloading. Training scenarios allow changing environmental conditions and target parameters.
Package contents
The system can be equipped with a VR headset, a pump-action shotgun mock-up or a weight-and-size AK-74 mock-up, a tablet and a transport case. For the drone operator, FPV goggles, a control unit and a separate transport case are provided. Three package options are available.
