How a mobile trainer complex works

How a mobile trainer complex differs from a stationary range, and how VARTA Mobile implements this category.

A mobile trainer complex makes it possible to organize firearms training without a permanently equipped stationary range. The main equipment is transported together and deployed where training is needed — at a training center, unit or other suitable room.

This format is useful when the training system must move between locations or when a separate permanent classroom is not available.

In the current VARTA.SYSTEMS range, this task is addressed by VARTA Mobile. The complex continues the development of training solutions previously known as the T1 Trainer, including mobile versions.

What a mobile trainer complex is

A mobile trainer complex is a training system whose main hardware components are integrated into a transport case. Unlike a stationary trainer, it is not tied to one specially prepared room.

In VARTA Mobile, the protective case houses and secures a computer, projector, interactive touch device, acoustic system, cooling and surge protection.

The complex needs a room from 3 × 5 m, and deployment takes less than 15 minutes. This makes it possible to set up training without building a permanent range.

From the T1 Trainer to VARTA Mobile

The name T1 Trainer was used for earlier generations of training solutions whose development continues today in the VARTA.SYSTEMS range. Earlier versions were also described as mobile-type T1 Trainers.

T1 developed from an interactive laser trainer into a 3D combat-action simulator. Different versions supported small-arms training, while the mobile format allowed the trainer to move between training locations.

The modern mobile solution is presented as VARTA Mobile. It retains the core idea of a mobile trainer complex: quickly deliver the system, deploy it in a suitable room and run training scenarios without creating a stationary range.

When searching by the historical name T1 Trainer, the reference may be to earlier generations whose development continues in the modern VARTA.SYSTEMS range.

What tasks need a mobile format

A mobile format is useful when training must take place in different locations or without a permanent classroom. Instead of moving separate components, the main hardware travels in one protective case.

VARTA Mobile supports simultaneous training for up to four users with different training weapon models.

This lets the instructor deploy the complex for a specific training task and pack it away for storage or transport after the session.

Training mockups and work with weapons

The trainer combines a software environment with weapon training mockups. The mockups reproduce the relevant mass and dimensions, include sensor systems and interact with the software.

VARTA Mobile can be configured with AK-74, AKM, AR-15, M4A1, Browning M2, DShK, RPG-7, AGS-17, Mk 19 and Carl Gustaf mockups.

The system can also support training with service weapons after the relevant conversion kits are fitted. The exact configuration depends on training tasks and the selected delivery set.

How software forms the training environment

Hardware mobility alone does not define a trainer’s capabilities. Software forms the training process, letting the instructor choose the location, environmental conditions, weapons and exercise scenario.

VARTA Mobile supports different virtual locations, times of day, weather conditions, targets and exercise parameters.

The software also models ballistic characteristics and weather effects, then records errors and supports results analysis after an exercise.

The mobile complex is therefore more than portable equipment: it is a complete training environment in which the instructor controls the structure of the session.

How VARTA Mobile is deployed

The hardware is secured inside a protective IP67 transport case. This reduces the number of separate components that must be assembled before each session.

After delivery, the instructor deploys the equipment, prepares the mockups, starts the software and selects the required scenario.

VARTA Mobile is specified for deployment in under 15 minutes and requires a minimum space of 3 × 5 m.

VARTA Mobile as the modern development of the mobile trainer

VARTA Mobile is a mobile-type VARTA.SYSTEMS training complex for organizing firearms training at different locations.

The system combines a protective transport case, hardware, weapon training mockups and software for scenario management and results analysis.

The complex supports up to four users at once, deploys in under 15 minutes and needs a room from 3 × 5 m.

The modern name VARTA Mobile continues the development of mobile training solutions historically known as the T1 Trainer.
